Find out why Perrysburg’s levy failure won’t harm home values or market demand and how it impacts the local real estate market.

Have you heard the buzz about the recent levy vote in Perrysburg? If you’re a homeowner or thinking about buying property here, you might be wondering: “Will this affect real estate values?” That’s the same question a client asked me just this week. Let me break it down for you.

Not surprised with the result. If you’ve lived in Perrysburg long enough, this vote wasn’t a shock. This is the third levy in a row that’s failed. But history shows a pattern: the school board makes drastic cuts, parents step in to support with fundraising, and eventually, a compromise plan gets approved by voters. It’s a cycle we’ve seen before, and it’s likely what we’ll see again.

The school’s reputation stays strong. Perrysburg schools are a powerhouse and their reputation will not crumble overnight. It’s got what I call “inertia.” That means it would take a lot more than a couple of failed votes to hurt how people see our schools. So, even if you’re worried about the short term, the long-term quality of education here remains solid.

“The market evolves, and so are the ways we buy, sell, and market homes.”
Real estate prices aren’t budging. Now for the big question: Will the levy impact property values? In my opinion, not a chance. Perrysburg real estate has what I like to call the “Perrysburg Premium.” People want to live here for the quality of life, the schools, and the community. A failed levy doesn’t suddenly change that. I haven’t heard a single buyer or seller say they’re jumping ship because of this vote.

The real estate market keeps moving. The market evolves, and so are the ways we buy, sell, and market homes. My team and I are here to help you navigate it all, no matter what’s happening locally. Whether you’re looking to buy your first home, sell your current one, or invest, we’ve got you covered.
